CO “Kinburn” has been operating since 2018 (date of registration: 08/13/2018).
The mission of the Organization is to promote the balanced development of the Northern Black Sea region through the implementation of environmental, economic, humanitarian, educational and cultural initiatives, including regional and international cooperation.
The goals of the organization are:
- satisfaction and protection of legitimate social, creative, economic, scientific, cultural interests of the members of the Organization;
- help in solving the urgent problems of the Kinburn spit;
- promoting protection, preservation and protection of the environment;
- providing assistance in the protection of environmental rights and interests, promoting the development of environmental protection, carrying out educational, scientific, cultural and educational activities to promote the formation of a democratic civil society.
Goals of the organization:
- Establishing and promoting the expansion of cooperation in the field of environmental protection, between state authorities, local governments, enterprises, as well as solving environmental problems of the Kinburn Spit.
- Supporting the free exchange of experience and knowledge, as well as the exchange of specialists and information in the field of environmental protection.
- Expansion of the public in the formation of environmental policy, development of sustainable tourism, preparation of solutions, the implementation of which may affect the environment;
- Promotion of public participation in educational, scientific, cultural programs and environmental activities.
- The development of ecological and educational activities, as well as the implementation of programs related to the development of nature protection and aimed at the development of a democratic civil society.
- Improving the social, economic and legal status of the Organization’s participants, increasing their professional qualifications, educational level, knowledge and experience for the implementation of the Organization’s statutory activities.
CO “Kinburn” has a successful experience of implementing grassroots initiatives for the development of rural regions of the Mykolaiv region. The implemented projects were aimed at the development of sustainable tourism and local business based on the sustainable use of the recreational and touristic potential of the Northern Black Sea Region. Eco-friendly startups have been developed that promote local cultural materials and intangible heritage as tourist destinations. The basis of tourism development of the Black Sea coast of the Mykolaiv region has been created. The Organization’s team includes young and active experts in the development of sustainable tourism, the study of the cultural and natural heritage of the region, and the support of local initiatives. The organization also has well established communication with key stakeholders such as local government, business, community, national parks etc.
